Under the initiative "Ary Saina ny Ankizy" (ASA), meaning “Thoughtful Children”, our team is committed to teaching young children in the villages near our field sites. With the nearest school located nearly eight (8) hours away on foot, many children (and even adults) have never had the opportunity to attend formal education. Through this project, we’ve embraced the mission of helping them acquire essential skills such as reading, writing, and counting.

Sometimes, we carry out these lessons during our spare time while conducting fieldwork. Other times, we invite volunteer teachers from towns to join us in delivering lessons to the children in the village.

  • We thank Mrs. V. Rabearisoa from EPP Tsiroanomandidy, Mrs. A. Rasoanjanahary from Lycée St. Joseph de Cluny Ambositra, and Mrs. J. F. Rasoarimanana from Lycée Benjamin Escande Ambositra for graciously accepting our invitation.
